Don Hess
Founder, Chief Technology Officer

Don is one of the Founders of SecureAire and the Inventor of Particle Acceleration Collision Technologies (PACT), the base technology of the company along with Particle Guide Technology (PGT) and the Advanced Collector System (ACS). Don has over 35 years of research and product development experience, including 17 years with IBM Corporation (NYSE, IBM), where he focused on designing particle reduction solutions for manufacturing cleanroom applications. In addition to IBM, Don has provided particle reduction solutions to companies that include Kodak, Texas Instruments, Motorola, Samsung, LG, and Mitsubishi Electronics. Don has written over 40 peer-reviewed papers related to Circuit Process and Integration, Defect Control, Oxide Semiconductor Physics, and Contamination Control in liquid, vacuum, and air environments. He holds numerous US and International patents on circuit manufacturing processes and particle reduction solutions. Don holds a Microelectronics Engineering Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. He also completed advanced course work in Electromagnetic Fields and Complex Function Theory from Syracuse University.
Mark Ereth, MD

Dr. Ereth is an internationally known expert in anesthesiology, and blood transfusion, and cardiopulmonary bypass and a frequent speaker at medical schools and hospitals around the world. Dr. Ereth’s career has been marked by innovation and collaboration. In his 25 years at the Mayo Clinic, he provided anesthesia and critical care to over 20,000 patients, directed a research group, and authored more than one hundred peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts. He holds multiple patents for medical devices, and upon retirement from the Mayo Clinic, joined SecureAire to reduce airborne related illness. Mark also co-founded Cheetah Development, a non-profit based on a novel method of funding, Micro-Venture Capital.
Frank Stamatatos
President
Frank brings more than 30 years of international management experience to the SecureAire executive team. Most recently, he was Director of Business Development for StrionAir, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Carrier Corporation (NYSE, CARR). Prior to its acquisition, StrionAir was a Venture Capital backed startup, which was turned around by the executive team. Frank also spent 16 years with Pall Corporation (now a subsidiary of Danaher Corporation (NYSE, DHR), culminating as Senior Vice President of New Business Development and Strategic Marketing. In his sales and marketing efforts, he developed multiple new markets and product lines for the company, growing businesses from zero to as much as $200 million. He has turn-around experience and has worked extensively in Europe and Asia. Frank holds an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University.
Ben Rizzo
Chief Executive Officer
Ben Rizzo, a successful entrepreneur, and Harvard MBA graduate is the Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining SecureAire, Rizzo founded Hartwood Point, a direct private investment firm, and was President of Hadfield Elevator LLC. Rizzo previously co-founded Exero Labs, where he successfully raised seed funding from angel investors to develop specialized head safety technology and obtain a patent. He began his career as a Production Engineer for Shell. In addition to an MBA from Harvard Business School, Rizzo has received an MS in Technology Commercialization from Texas McCombs School of Business and a BSE in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Dr. Richard Salinaro
Vice President Materials Development
Dr. Salinaro brings a wealth of experience with more than 25 years in filtration materials and science to the SecureAire team. During his nearly 19 years with Pall Corporation (now a subsidiary of Danaher Corporation (NYSE, DHR)), Dr. Salinaro served in the capacities of Research Scientist and Group Leader while culminating his Pall Career in the role of Corporate Scientist. As Corporate Scientist, Dr. Salinaro led teams in developing new surface chemistries and membrane materials that spread throughout all of Pall’s extensive businesses. Furthermore, his group was responsible for identifying groundbreaking technologies to enhance existing Pall products and to facilitate entry into previously untapped markets. Dr. Salinaro earned his PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry from Yale University and a BS in Chemistry from Fairfield University.
Jeremiah John
Vice President of Finance
Jeremiah previously served as Controller for Freedom Fuels & Commodities, LLC in Austin, Texas, where he was responsible for all accounting functions for the company. Jeremiah has a Bachelor of Business Administration and Finance from Texas State University–San Marcos. He is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys spending time playing golf and fishing.
Kathy Parry
Vice President of Commercial Sales
Kathy has extensive expertise in sales, business development, marketing, and organic growth. Before joining SecureAire, she served as Sales Director for Nashville-based Flaktgroup Woods Air Movement Ltd, helping to re-establish their business in North America. She also served as a member of the Air Movement & Control Association’s Marketing Committee for nearly a decade. Kathy earned a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University’s Whiteman School of Management.
James Crodian
Manufacturing & Quality Engineer
James brings a diverse set of skills (R&D, IT, Quality, UL, TUV, & FDA) to SecureAire from 28 years of Contract Manufacturing experience from multiple facilities in Florida specializing in electronic products ranging from medical, government, Nasa, and commercial mix technology areas of electromechanical, box-build, through-hole, SMT, cable/harnesses, testing, various equipment operating/programming, and software. James leads all manufacturing efforts of SecureAire products and creates/maintains full product documentation along with all regulatory safety agency testing/approval. James holds a B.Sc. (IT) Assurance & Security from American Intercontinental University (AIU), a Delta Chapter member, and an active member of Epsilon Pi Tau International Honor Society. A fun fact about James; he is a true Floridian born & raised in Tampa, FL who, enjoys IT, fishing, boating, motorcycle riding, football, and family time.
Dan Ross
Senior Electrical Engineer
Dan has over 20 years of experience designing hardware and software solutions for the medical, intelligent transportation, and aerospace industries. He brings a commitment to improving health and safety through advancing technology to SecureAire. Dan holds a degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of South Florida. In his spare time, he enjoys music and practicing traditional Japanese archery.
